Tunnel Insight

Client: Tunnel Insight – a product manual for the tunneling industry in Europe
Work: logo, book layout design, colors, typography
Tools: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop

Tunnel Insight is a hardback publication and digital platform created for leading and up and coming companies in the European tunneling industry. The goal was to design a brand identity and book that felt modern, sleek and forward-looking, reflecting the innovation and collaboration at the core of the field.

The logo carries a double meaning: a tunnel-shaped symbol that also forms the letters “nn” in the wordmark. It was designed under intense time pressure, but its simplicity made it wprl. the word “Tunnel” can be removed, while the tunnel symbol together with “Insight” works without losing the name. This flexibility gave the identity lasting recognition in different contexts.

To elevate what could have been a technical manual into something memorable, I introduced a color system of deep purples, coral accents and pastel yellow. Paired with photography of tunnels and abstract light trails, the visuals transformed raw infrastructure into dynamic, almost artistic compositions. The design conveyed movement, ambition and a sense of scale, giving the book and website a distinctive presence that stood out in an otherwise conservative industry.

During this project I also joined internal sales challenges, which gave me the chance to expand my communication and listening skills while engaging directly with clients.

The result was a product that gave clients something unexpected. Instead of a technical manual, they received a book that felt modern, alive and worth keeping. It balanced precision with creativity and turned dry industry insights into something people actually wanted to engage with and be a part of.
